Fasting has been nothing short of, life – changing for me.
It is helpful, healing, and uplifting for so many different reasons, that I could go on for days.
BUT… if you are reading this, than you are most likely, already ready give it a try, so this article is going to help guide you through your very first, 24 hour fast…
AND… it’s going to be a LOT easier than you are expecting.
Quick Reminder Why You Are Doing This:
- To Detox Your Body
- To Tune Into Your Body-Consciousness (Very Clearly)
- To Jump Start Your New, Healthier Eating Habits
- To Free Up Emotional and Energetic Blockages
- Improve Your Relationship With Food
- Eliminate Cravings For Junk Foods
- Ease Spiritual Awakening Symptoms
The idea of going for 24 hours without food seems impossible to most people.
This is due to a big misconception of how hunger actually functions…
Most people assume that when they get really hungry, that as time progresses, they will only get more hungry…
Fortunately, hunger doesn’t work that way…
Hunger comes in waves. So, as hungry as you may be at a certain point, you will NOT become, more hungry.
In fact, the hunger will totally fade away in about 10-15 minutes…many times in less time than that.
And strangely enough… as you get close to the (16-18 hour mark) of your fast…your hunger will disappear completely.
Once you enter the awesome, fasted state, your hunger will be replaced with…
- A surge of physical energy
- Incredible Mental Clarity
- Emotional Well-Being
- Mental Alertness and Focus
- Balanced Kundalini Energy
- A Genuine, happy place 🙂
When you enter the fasted state, your hormones shift, giving you that boost of energy and mental focus…
Spiritually, your spirit energy (which is incredibly vitalizing and healing) will flow through you much more harmoniously and with less obstruction.
When you enter the fasted state you will know why human beings have been doing it for thousands of years.
Your First Fast – Made Easy (3 Tips)
#1. The day before your fast… Make your last meal, large… and earlier… in the day…
Eat the same amount of food you normally would in a day, but earlier. Also, make sure to get a balance of healthy protein, carbohydrates, and fat in your last meal. Timing it this way will make the following day a lot easier because you won’t have to hold out as long.
#2. The next morning… Drink a big bottle of water upon waking… Next, have yourself a small cup of coffee…(Black and sweetened with stevia extract). Coffee is a natural appetite suppressant and will help a LOT by giving you energy and blunting your hunger.
***You may also have a second small cup, later in the day if you get hungry.
#3. A couple hours before the end… Do some light exercise… (yoga, walking, or some light calisthenics).
You might think that this will be difficult with out having much food energy in your system, but you will feel surprisingly great at this time.
That’s all there is to it 🙂
To Really Make The Most Of Your Fast…
After your exercise, shortly before you are going to break your fast, do a 10-20 minute meditation session of your choice.
You will feel amazing!
How To Break Your Fast:
You can really eat anything you want, but if you want to maintain the clear headed, spiritually grounded, state of being, you should eat something healthy… Some (high vibration foods) such as,
- Fresh organic fruits
- Fresh organic vegetables
- Lean, Ethically sourced, protein (chicken, eggs, or fish)
- Healthy Complex Carbohydrate (potatoes, rice, or beans)
The nice thing is that you will, want to eat these healthy foods…naturally. You will feel so good and pure that it will be a, natural gravitation towards healthy foods. You get to re-set your craving mechanism in your body to prefer healthy foods that promote your clear-headed, state of being.
In Conclusion:
As a spiritually minded individual, you will be sensitive enough to experience the profound benefits of fasting. Now, you will have a great tool that you can pull out of your box anytime you need to reset and re-center yourself.
I have been using fasting as a health and spiritual asset for years and my appreciation for it has only grown with time.
It is my sincere hope that you derive the same degree of benefits that I have.
